Right, here we go, an actual attempt at an actual blog post. Because as much as I enjoy the old twitters (you really shouldn't follow me via @MatStace, I whinge far too much ;-P ) I actually do want to get back a more long-form version of spouting my bullshit into the internets for people to not read. Turns out that I had a couple of fundamental errors in my F1 pre-first-race predictions, apologies to Ferrari and Williams, the latter even had a car beaten by the T128 of Heikki Kovalainen in the Chinese Grand Prix. Incidentally, if you haven't seen the Chinese Grand Prix, do what you can to get hold of a copy (*cough*usenet*cough*), it was an absolutely cracking race. Plenty of overtaking, and not all of it due to the new flappy rear wing.

It will be interesting to see how the other Hermann Tilke tracks cope with this new, exciting Formula 1. I might have to eat my past words about Tilke, and retrospectively slag off the cars (well, the aerodynamicists) of the past few years.

And now, back to the thing that has been keeping me away from here, DIY. One of these days the downstairs to our flat will actually be finished...
