As far as I'm aware, it shouldn't matter what goes in that box for O2. Hi Aun,

O2 actually contacted me after a couple of weeks and told me my speeds weren't high enough, so they were going to drop me down to the ADSL billing instead of ADSL2, which was rather nice of them. My sync speeds are currently 7.2Mbps down, and 1.0Mbps up. As for IPv6, I tend to get the telephone/email equivalent of a blank face whenever I ask about that, so I'm currently running a Hurricane Electric tunnel (from tunnelbroker.net ), which so far works fine for me - that's set up as a 6 in 4 endpoint on the Fritz!box, and is probably something I should add to this post, ready for the day I tweak it too far. I realise that this is likely to be a very rare set of circumstances for most people, but at least I’ve now found the cause, and fixed it - no thanks to the initial unhelpful error messages. Perhaps your router has anti-spyware in it? Long shot but just a thought. Some 'family-friendly' routers have started appearing with these features built in. Good luck.
